About Us

We did it! We started a blog, well that means Jessica started a blog and the rest are along for the ride. We are the Dempsey family, Jessica (that’s me), John (my hubby of 26 years), Jillian (my daughter+nursing student), Johnnie (my son +college freshman) and Maggie (our sassy Schnoodle-part schnauzer + poodle). I am the creator of our family blog and will be writing the posts for this blog, I have sensed some resistance from the rest of my crew….but they’ll get the hang of it sooner or later. I have always wanted to write and I am really excited about sharing some of our family life, oh yeah I had to promise my kids to not overshare…. but whatever! I will be sharing about our family life and travels, and also the trips me and my hubby take alone without the kids, that’s the benefit of this season of life 🙂 My writing is not perfect, so please don’t judge, and if you have any feedback, I would love to hear from you.

There are plenty of blogs around that are focused on young families and their travels and they offer great information. But, I found it hard to find ones that focus on families with teens and college aged kids, so I decided to put it out there. We are all so busy in our lives and our time together is cherished. John and I always say how lucky we are and how blessed our family is. As a family we are obsessed with anything Disney, Spongebob (there isn’t anything that ever happens that cannot be related to an episode of SpongeBob), cruising, Southern California, pizza and coffee. We hope to entertain and inspire you all along the way.

A little bit about me, in addition to being a Mom and wife, I am COO of Clan Dempsey, a Registered Nurse, a travel consultant, a BSN/MSN Nursing student and now I am a blogger! Whew…..that’s a lot!! I am living my best life.
