Hello and welcome! This is the first post on our blog, feeling no pressure here 🙂
We are celebrating a couple of milestones here in the Dempsey house. First Johnnie graduated high school last month and then a week later Jillian turned 21. How did that happen?? How do I have 2 college aged kids now? I really want to know where the time went, it seems like yesterday I was in a constant state of cleaning hands and faces, and picking up stuffed animals while stepping on those dang legos! Those suckers really hurt! My mother always said the days are long but the years go quick, and boy was she right.
Back to the celebrations
First up was graduation day….it was a beautiful day and a nice quick outdoor ceremony! Then on to dinner with the family. Congratulations Johnnie!! So excited for you to begin college. He decided to attend the local community college and stay home for a bit until he figures out what he would like to study. Smart kid!
Next was Jillian’s 21st birthday! So proud of this kid, she really is so smart and beautiful. We didn’t get to party that night, she wanted to go to dinner with her boyfriend that night (really???), so we had a family party the next day(well it was actually a dual party for both of them but don’t tell her that).
The real celebration took place when we left for California for 11 days….that’s when the fun really started….stay tuned for our next few posts…..woo hoo!
