We were lucky enough to visit Galaxy’s Edge on our trip to Southern California in July. It was amazing! We will review the infamous watering hole, Oga’s Cantina on this post, but stay tuned for a full review on Galaxy’s Edge.
We had to jump online to reserve a spot as soon as we entered the park to get a preferred time. We were all looking forward to seeing the Cantina so this was a real treat! My kids in particular are huge Star Wars fans. The design and feel of the entire park is amazing, you really feel as though you are transported to Batuu, it does NOT feel like Disney at all. We arrived early and were seated right away (or actually standing) at the bar. This was a great place to see all the action behind the bar, the bartenders are very entertaining.
Oga’s Cantina is the place where the traders, smugglers and travelers all congregate, to eat and drink. There is great music pumping courtesy of DJ R3X a former Starspeeder pilot. The menu has fun choices, but is not cheap 🙂 We opted to try the Jedi Mind Trick, Jabba Juice and of course the Blue Bantha. They were all delish…next time I will try the Fuzzy Tauntaun.
Disney has changed how you can reserve this experience. Reservations can be made 14 days in advance or after 7am on day of visit. Park admission is necessary. This was a great experience for all of us! I hope you get to check it out soon!
Galaxy’s Edge is now open at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World
